The Black Lives Matter movement was founded in 2013 following the death of the African-American teenage boy Trayvon Martin, who was shot while walking to a family’s friend’s house from a convenience store.

Trayvon’s story is not a beginning or, unfortunately, the last one in the sequence of similar events. With each event that followed the world turned a blind eye on the inequality, racism and severe polarization.

One part of the Black Lives Matter activism encourages people from all over the world to partake in protests and rallies as well as spend time reading and educating ourselves on what racism is and how we can refuse to cooperate in the evil behavior.
